This is probably my favorite documentary of all time; a fascinating meta-documentary about performance, truth, and whether filmmaking is a democratic medium.

I watched it for the first time in a college course on the history and theory of documentary cinema, and my little brain was pretty blown away that William Greaves was making this in the 60s.

This particular clip focuses on the crew’s conversations behind Greaves’ back (while he was filming) that Greaves decided to include in the final product.
